Allowing the OKTO app to access the camera of your device is a necessary step for verifying your identity. Granting access to your contacts is another app permission required to start using OKTO. You will be asked to give access to your contacts the first time you try to transfer money to a friend who uses also OKTO (P2P).

Remember that denying access to your contacts won’t enable you to proceed with the transaction. In case you select to proceed to a cash transaction or a QR code payment – where applicable – via OKTO you will need to allow camera access as well. Consent is also needed to upload any necessary documentation during the verification process. You have the option to manage your permissions directly from your mobile device following the Android or iOS path.
